Divination cards are not new, there are many to be found on the market. However, in our initial research we discovered that most of them were somewhat ‘flowery’, vague and were heavily biased towards an unrealistic positivism. We felt that something more realistic and down to earth was needed, that can meet people where they are and not where they want to be! To that end these cards can be deeply challenging, often raising issues that we, as a culture, have a tendency to ignore but at a cost to ourselves and society.
For anyone willing to do the work that self-enquiry demands these are a perfect tool. Based and informed by Peter’s twenty years as a practicing psychotherapist and Maria’s experience as an NLP practitioner these cards are rooted in people’s everyday lives and the challenges that we all have to meet. The Awaken cards draw on those insights that have been gathered by their experiences. Created with deepest sincerity and best intentions, they are for people who either want to know themselves better and/or to relieve their suffering. These cards have the potential to cut through the ‘surface noise’ of our often overactive minds, by getting straight to the heart of an issue. This makes them a very powerful tool for self-enquiry and problem solving.
